Leave your cell.
We'll text you back.
Everything here reaches one person, and it's the same person every time. No queue, no ticket number, nobody to be passed to — which is the upside of a business this size.
Leave your cell and we'll text you back
Usually the same evening, often sooner. A real text from a real phone — not an autoresponder, not a ticket, and not a number you have to save.
Your number is used to answer you and nothing else. It is never published, never given to a seller, and never used to market anything at you.
No phone number, no email address
Neither is published here, and that's deliberate. A number nobody can answer is worse than no number — it rings out and you conclude nobody's home. And a published address is scraped within days, after which the message that mattered is sitting in a spam folder.
So the form is the front door. It carries a subject line we can sort by, and a report a problem link fills it in for you so you never have to retype a business name.
Report a problem, or ask us anything A wrong number, a business that's closed, a seller we're missing, or just a question. We text you back.
Found a wrong number? This is the useful one
A dead or wrong phone number is the only error in a directory that actually costs somebody something — the person who calls it and the business that never got the call. It's also the most common error in every directory ever published, because numbers change and nothing tells the list.
Nothing changes on the site because one person said so — including you. A person reads every report, then we dial the number ourselves before a row is touched. That's ninety seconds of work and it's the difference between a maintained list and a list anybody can edit by filling in a form.
Once we've confirmed it, it's fixed the same day and the confirmed date on that row changes with it.
We ask for a cell because we answer by text. There is no phone number or email address on this site to reply from — a submission reaches a person, and that person texts you back.
There's a Report a problem link on every row of the list and it fills this form in for you. The whole policy, in four steps →
Know a seller we're missing?
This is the second most useful thing you can send us. The directory is thin where it matters most — the one-truck operators who run on word of mouth and have no website are exactly the people a search engine can't find, and often the ones with the best wood.
A name and a town is enough. Listing is free, and we'll call them before anything goes up.
We don't do the calling for you
Some directories take your details and then sit between you and the seller. We don't. Every number on the list is the seller's own, there's no form in front of it, and calling them yourself is faster than anything we could do on your behalf. Here's what to ask when you do →
Book a splitting visit You've got rounds, we've got the splitter. Send photos, get a quote.
We'll quote it before anybody drives anywhere. How it works and what it costs →
Reporting a problem with a listing? That's the second panel, it takes twenty seconds, and you don't have to leave a name.
Fire kits — tell me when they ship Not shipping yet. No deposit, no card, one message when they do.
Why there's no buy button
Because we'd rather be honest than busy. Taking $55 for a box we haven't committed to packing means one of two things eventually: a refund, or a parcel that turns up late to somebody who bought it as a gift. Neither is worth it.
So the kits get built when enough people say they'd buy one. That's the whole mechanism, and you're looking at it.
The rest of this site works the same way. Empty moisture column, empty price column, no reviews yet — we say so rather than filling them in.
Everything else Logs to drop off, wholesale bundles, restaurant wood, or just a question.
Sell firewood? Getting listed is free and there's no exclusivity. Start here instead — that form asks the right questions.
Buying at volume? Campgrounds, farm stands, restaurants, marinas. Tell us what you need and how often and we'll point you at the sellers who can actually hold that up through a winter.
Something wrong with a load? Use the panel above, and tell us even if you've already sorted it with the seller. Against a Guaranteed seller it starts a seven-day clock. Against anyone else it's still the fastest way that empty moisture column starts filling in.
Just have a question? Use this. You don't have to be buying anything.
What happens to what you send
- A person reads it. Not a filter, not a queue.
- A reported listing gets checked before anything changes — we dial the number ourselves. The four steps →
- We reply by text if you left a number, usually the same evening.
- Your details are never sold, never used to market anything, and never given to a seller. Contact details attached to a review are kept 12 months in case of a dispute, then deleted.
